Plane Crash Survivor, Kechi Thrills At America’s Got Talent

Kechi Okwuchi, a survivor of the 2005 Sosoliso crash who thrilled the audience of the America’s Got Talent show has made it to the next round of the competition.

Okwuchi performed John Hiatt’s ‘Have A Little Faith In Me’, which drew the arousal of the crowd. Okwuchi is one of the only survivors of the Sosoliso plane crash that killed 107 passengers in 2005.
While on stage her rendition drew a rousing ovation from the audience and the judges with Simon especially stating that she made it to that stage not because of her story but as a direct result of her talent.
The excited Kechi went on Instagram to share the news and to thank everyone that helped make her “dreams come true”.
“Tonight was overwhelming… I got to watch the show with all the @shrinershospitals kids, fellow burns survivors, and it was just so fulfilling…and now. Live shows,” she wrote in part.
“I’m just so grateful to God, guys, for allowing me to get this far, and I’m eternally grateful to Seal and Simon for saying the words I needed to hear: that I deserved to be on the show based on my voice, not just my story.
“And thank YOU all, for being with me through this journey.”
