IPOB: Nigerian Army declares victory

The Nigerian Army on Friday claimed victory in its skirmish with secession agitators across the South-east.
The announcement followed the conclusion of a one-day tour of the region by the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, who inspected ongoing operations and participated in a military medical outreach for residents.
The military launched an offensive last week to curb the activities of members of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB, who have recently intensified campaign for the secession of the Igbo-dominated region from Nigeria.

The military exercise is codenamed Python Dance, and it is ongoing across all the five states in the region.

FG To Reveal Account Details Of IPOB Sponsors

The Federal Government will reveal account details of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, sponsors in France.
According to Saturday PUNCH, a senior government official said the federal government had asked the

Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit and the Central Bank of Nigeria to compile the needed information on the sponsors and hand it over to the French government.
“The French Government has reached out to us over the IPOB matter. It said we should give it account details and any other evidence showing that France was where the majority of the money was coming from.
“So, the government has accepted that challenge and we will be instructing the NFIU, SCUML and the CBN to hand over all the details of IPOB’s funding to us in one comprehensive report which will be submitted to the French Government.
“Since IPOB has been declared a terrorist organisation by a court in Nigeria, the French Government, which claims to be against Nigeria’s break-up, is expected to give us maximum cooperation,” the source said.
The government official said other countries from which IPOB also received huge cash inflows include: Turkey, Senegal, Malaysia, Hong Kong, United Kingdom and the United States.
The official said that the reports would also be given to the aforementioned countries.
He added, “Before his arrest, Nnamdi Kanu had appealed to people of Igbo extraction in some of these countries to provide him with funds which would be used in buying weapons and bringing down the Nigerian Government.
“In a video, which has even gone viral on Youtube, Kanu said he needed guns. This is not hearsay.
“We will also be writing these countries informing them of the need to ensure that IPOB’s source of funding is traced and blocked.”

Earthquake Rocks North Korea

North Korea has been rocked by a 3.4 magnitude earthquake sparking fears the nuclear-obsessed nation may be testing more missiles.

The tremor was detected in the Kilju area in the North Hamgyong province by the South Korean meteorological agency and China’s official Xinhua News Agency.
The earthquake was detected at 8.30am GMT at a depth of zero miles, with the Chinese news agency saying it was a ‘suspected explosion’.
Recent tremors coming from within North Korea have been due to Kim Jong-un’s nuclear tests, the latest of which was earlier this month.
The quake detected today was near one of communist state’s nuclear test sites and is roughly the same magnitude as the September 3 earthquake, which turned out to be a nuclear test.
Yet South Korea’s weather agency claimed they believed the quake may have been a natural earthquake.

My Husband Likes Sex Too Much, Wants Different Styles – Wife

A housewife, Esther Adaramola, on Wednesday consented to her husband’s application for divorce, saying she could no longer withstand her husband’s constant sexual demands and rigorous love-making.
Esther, who was testifying before an Akure Customary Court in a divorce suit filed by her husband, Michael Adaramola, accused him of being in the habit of using different sex enhancing drugs during intercourse.
The respondent, while denying her husband’s allegation of indecent dressing, told the court that he only wants to see me wearing ‘iro’ and ‘buba’ which she said was not her frequent taste.
According to her, the husband normally transfers his anger to their three children whenever they had disagreement.
Esther told the court that she could no longer withstand her husband’s frequent sexual demands after he might have taken sex-enhancing drugs.
“One of the causes of the problems is that my husband uses manpower before making love to me, which is not pleasing to me.
“He also wants me to exhibit different sexual styles which are odd and unacceptable to me. I have told him that I cannot continue with vigorous sexual intercourse,” she said.
The respondent who showed the court a piece of the drug as exhibit, noted that she would not contest the application for divorce.
“It will actually give me peace of mind,” she said.
Michael, in his application, told the court that he was no longer interested in their 9-year-old marriage, and accused his wife of alleged stubbornness and promiscuity.
He accused his wife of indecent dressing, saying” she likes wearing transparent clothes, showing sensitive areas of her body and she is highly adamant to corrections.
“Her extra-marital inclination has become a recurring decimal, keeping late nights after work,” he said.
According to him, his heart often pricks whenever he sees his wife, which may cause him hypertension if he continues to live with her.
“I cannot help the situation, so I am opting for divorce,” he said.
The President of the court, Ayodele Omotola, who reserved judgment till August 23,2017 said that the court would take into consideration the interest of the children.
He, however, asked the parties to maintain peace before the adjourned date.
